Phillip helps manage the City of Boulder’s Tribal Relations program and has conducted numerous collaborative projects with Tribal Representatives. He is deeply grateful for the relationships the city has developed with Tribal Representatives and thanks them for their willingness to share their knowledge with the Boulder, Colorado, community.

Joint Media & Communication Work
Phillip recently worked with Arapaho and Cheyenne Tribal Representatives on a media and communication outreach effort to receive public input for a Boulder project that has a direct community connection to the Sand Creek Massacre.

The Peoples' Crossing Public Event
Phillip facilitated conversations with Tribal Representatives to help City of Boulder organize a community event to build, strengthen and honor relationships with Tribal Nations. Unfortunately, heavy snow led the city to cancel the event.

Tribal Ethnographic-Education Report
Phillip thanks Tribal Nations for their guidance in helping the City of Boulder develop a plan for an ethnographic report intended to help Tribal Nations share their enduring traditional, cultural and spiritual connections to the Boulder Valley.

City of Boulder Land Acknowledgment
Phillip helped the City of Boulder develop an acknowledgment that is based on the city's Indigenous Peoples Day Resolution and was developed with guidance from Tribal Representatives and input from the Boulder community.

The Peoples' Crossing Renaming
Phillip worked to fulfill Tribal Representatives’ guidance to rename Settler’s Park in west Boulder to The Peoples’ Crossing – a name that honors the area as a crossroads for Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial.

Phillip helps manage the City of Boulder’s ongoing relationship with American Indian Tribal Nations, facilitates meetings with Tribal Representatives and is managing several collaborative projects with Tribal Nations.
